Q: What is a Pennyweight?
A: 20 Pennyweight (DWT) equals 1 ounce.
Q: What is a Spot Price?
A: The market price for immediate delivery of a commodity, such as gold, silver or platinum. This is the price gold is trading at for the day.
Q: Do you pay for Gem Stones?
A: Unfortunately we do not pay for Gem Stones. We do pay wholesale price for all diamonds received and will gladly accept them.
Q: What kind of gold or jewelry will you accept?
A: We generally accept ALL items sent to us and guarantee to have your check sent to you within 24 hours.
Q: Is the gold package free?
A: Yes! Also shipping and insurance are prepaid. If you wish to insure your package for additional value, the United States Post office can handle all requests.
Q: I have fine jewelry and would like some extra security in terms of packaging. Must I use my own packaging or will you supply me with extra packaging materials?
A: Our standard Refiner’s Return Pak comes with a very heavy duty, DuPont Tyvek™ bag. While these bags will generally be enough for any item you wish to send us, if you have any concerns, please call customer service anytime at 1-800-241-1811 and we can assist you in determining if you need additional packaging materials.
Q: How will I know when you’ve received my gold/jewelry?
A: You can track the status 24×7 by using our ‘Track the Pak’ feature. This provides instant access to our online database. To get started enter your C4G PakID on the top right corner in the ‘Track Your Pak’ box.
Q: What can I do if I am not satisfied with the amount I have been paid?
A: If you are unhappy with your payment, do not worry. We must receive the check back within 10 days of the date printed on the check. Once we have the check, we will return your gold or jewelry, no questions asked.
Q: Can I use my own packaging?
A: Yes you can. If you prefer to not have to wait to receive a Refiner’s Return Pak from us, feel free to use your own packaging. Please email info@cash4gold.com for more information.
Q: Some of my old gold jewelry has diamonds, or semi-precious stones, in the settings. Do I try to remove them before sending to you, or do you return them to me?
A: Any jewelry containing diamonds will be credited back to your account and paid for on your settlement sheet. Any jewelry containing semi-precious stones will not be paid for. You are welcome to remove these stones before sending.
